Zoe-perry

Perry is born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles included two episodes in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. She did not explore acting as a profession after reaching the age of adulthood due to her parents being concerned about the adverse impact stress might have. Perry confessed that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school. However, she began acting to meet new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry moved to New York, where she got small roles on shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness led Perry home to California and theater roles were readily available. Perry performed with her mom as part of The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. Kevin McKidd, her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie together with her in 2015. Perry was in nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family during 2016. In 2017, she played a recurring role on the ABC political thriller Scandal which starred her father. That same year she played a young model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a younger version. The character was picked via auditions the fact that she had a deep association with it.
